Shirley Parsons Consultant enables manufacturer to successfully implement EHS programs.
The Challenge
A large bioscience ingredient manufacturer originally contacted Shirley Parsons for temporary EHS support while they were searching for a permanent EHS hire. The consultant was to be tasked with complex chemical handling safety programs and assist with implementing ISO programs across the facility.
Our Approach
While they had initially requested a part-time, junior individual, further exploration with the hiring manager revealed that the goals they were trying to achieve necessitated a more seasoned professional. Shirley Parsons subsequently provided a consultant with whom we had previously worked and who had received excellent feedback regarding the thorough nature of their work.
The Result
Our consultant delivered so well on the project that the client decided to extend the contract with Shirley Parsons, even after the permanent hire had been made. When the site EHS Manager was planning her maternity leave, she reached out for coverage and asked for the contractor, specifically noting, “I was incredibly pleased with the work that they did with us this past fall/winter and would like to work with them again.” These positive experiences led the client to engage with Shirley Parsons again following the acquisition of a facility in New Jersey, and we are currently halfway through a 9-month engagement to develop and implement the site EHS programs in line with their corporate policies.
