Successful Placement Leads to a Global Leadership Position

  • Publish Date: Posted over 1 year ago

Shirley Parsons successfully sourced and identified a new Health and Safety Leader.

The Challenge

Shirley Parsons partnered with a publicly traded semiconductor company to identify a new Health and Safety Leader who would be responsible for developing H&S programs in the US. The company’s operations necessitated an individual with global H&S knowledge and the ability to educate and influence other leaders in the business. Despite months of work from their internal recruitment team, our client had no success identifying candidates with relevant industry exposure or the ability to address and foresee upcoming risks and challenges.

Our Approach

Upon engagement, we scheduled regular meetings with our client to keep them updated on our progress and reveal any challenges we encountered. Within 2 weeks, we were able to generate a longlist of over 200 candidates with relevant experience. Following an extensive outreach and selection process, this was ultimately reduced to a shortlist 5 candidates who underwent an extensive qualification and interview process, focusing on leadership capabilities, technical knowledge and cultural fit.

The Result

One of our candidates accepted an offer and began employment at the client’s global headquarters in Texas within 1 month of our initial outreach to them. The individual conducted an in-depth gap analysis at facilities across the country and has since designed and implemented a new EHS program.

Our client has been so impressed with the early results that they have expanded this individual’s responsibilities to establish a global EHS standard for an additional 1,500 employees worldwide.
