Description

A global manufacturer is currently seeking an EHS Manager to lead the EHS function at their manufacturing site in the Clarksburg, TN area. The EHS Manager will be responsible for leading a team and updating and maintaining the site's EHS systems and programs.  The successful candidate will be expected serve as a communication link between management and employees by keeping all personnel informed of EHS related matters.

 The Role:

• Manage and maintain the company's environmental and safety permits and programs
• Serve as the subject matter expert and primary contact in respect to all EHS matters
• Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and EHS audits
• Interact with regulatory agencies to maintain compliance with local, state and federal regulations
• Manage storage, handling, labeling, manifesting, transporting, & shipping hazardous waste

 The Candidate: 

• B.S. degree in Safety Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, or related technical field preferred
• 7+ years of EHS experience ideally within a lab or manufacturing environment
• Knowledgeable of applicable OSHA and EPA regulations
• Excellent leadership, organization and communication skills
