Description
A leading manufacturer of structural building products is looking for an EHS Manager to join their team in the Stockton, CA. You would be responsible for driving safety performance at the facility and other associated locations - ensuring a commitment towards safety excellence across all operational teams. The Role:
- Promote a proactive EHS culture at all levels of the organization, with heavy focus on employee engagement towards the EHS program
- Maintain records for EHS training ensuring up to date and in compliance with State and Federal regulations
- Work closely with Plant Director and other local leadership, highlighting successes, focus areas and KPI's for the site, in order to continually develop the safety program
- Undertake job-site inspections, hazard observations, near miss investigations and audits across the site, as deemed necessary
- Monitor laws and regulations that may affect the branch based on State, and local requirements under EHS policies
The Candidate:
- Around 5 years hands-on on EHS experience working in a manufacturing environment (ideally, heavy manufacturing)
- Bachelor Degree in EHS or related discipline (preferred)
- Professional certification e.g. CSP, ASP (preferred)
- Strong communicator who can influence across all business levels
- Based locally near Stockton (this is not a hybrid role) and happy to travel as required (Circa. 10%)
