Description

A leading manufacturer is searching for an Industrial Hygienist to join their team. This role would be based in their Sacramento location and will be responsible for the management and improvement of the site's industrial hygiene monitoring program. Working across their various functions including industrial manufacturing, confined spaces, material handling (forklifts, cranes/hoists), IPP implementation, and emergency response. You will act as a figurehead in driving forward company-wide engagement across all business levels toward safety. The Role:

• Promote a proactive safety culture at all levels of the organization, with a heavy focus on employee engagement towards the safety program

• Perform assessments of new products and processes and provide input on potential control measures

• Develop written reports for the above activities and track recommendations through to completion.

• Identify, develop and deliver safety training in areas such as safety regulation, hazardous conditions, use of tools and equipment, etc. 

• Ensure the company continually remains compliant and informed of industry regulatory changes when it comes to bodies such as OSHA

The Candidate:

• B.S. in Safety, Chemistry, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related science

• 5-10 years of experience with Industrial Hygiene in a manufacturing/industrial plant

• A proven leader, with strong communication skills who can engage with a diverse team

• Experience dealing with regulatory bodies e.g. OSHA

• CIH and CSP certifications are preferred.
