Description
A leading manufacturing company is looking to appoint a Regional EHS Manager to lead the company-wide EHS program. The Manager will be tasked with influencing a healthy safety culture, requiring the ability to engage individuals at various levels of the organization. The Manager will be responsible for overseeing environmental and safety compliance with local, state and federal EHS regulations. This role will encompass up to 50% travel.
This role can sit in any of the following locations (This is not a remote position)
Sacramento, CA
Union City, CA
The Role:
- Develop, maintain and improve EHS policies, procedures, and training programs
- Driving a culture of "Safety First" across the business to reduce injuries and accidents
- Ensure compliance with necessary regulators, including OSHA and EPA, and serve as a technical resource to the organization
- Conduct EHS audits and inspections along with preparing necessary reports and documentation
- Promoting continuous improvement efforts and standardization in the EHS function
The Candidate:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety or a related technical field highly preferred
- 5+ years’ experience leading successful EHS programs in a manufacturing and distribution environment
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly throughout all levels of an organization
