Description
A leading proppant and logistics company operating in the Permian Basin is looking for a Senior Safety Specialist to join their team. Based out of Orla, TX - you would be responsible for providing safety leadership throughout the West TX region. This represents a fantastic opportunity to join an industry leader, with a commitment toward safety, where you will be given the platform to flourish in the role.
The Role:
- Promote a proactive safety culture for job site locations, with heavy focus on employee engagement towards the corporate safety program
- Undertake safety inspections, incident investigations and audits as deemed necessary
- Lead safety meetings and site-specific safety training for all employees in the Permian Basin
- Ensure job sites remain compliant with both local and federal regulatory bodies e.g. OSHA, MSHA
The Candidate:
- Possess 3-5 years hands on safety experience within either a proppant production, oil field services or similar environment
- Bachelors Degree in Safety, Environmental or related discipline (preferred)
- Proven experience working alongside regulatory bodies such as OSHA or MSHA
- Strong communicator who is able to effectively engage with key internal and external stakeholders across all business levels
- Local to the Permian Basin (West TX area) and able to travel as required (circa. 40%)
