Description

A large food manufacturing company near East Los Angeles is looking for an EHS Director to oversee organizational compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations and industry standards. This role will also be working to promote a proactive safety culture throughout the organization and develop & implement appropriate safety programs and procedures. 

The Role:

• Design new methods, programs, and procedures to improve the safety conditions in manufacturing, warehouses, factories, or offices
• Analyze and track results, identify opportunities and implement measures for continuous improvement
• Develop and deliver EH&S training courses
• Ensure the company continually remains compliant and informed of industry regulatory changes when it comes to bodies such as OSHA, FDA, Cal- OSHA, etc

The Candidate:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Safety Management, or related field 
• 10+ years of EHS experience
• In-depth knowledge of CalOSHA and other regulations
• CSP, CHCM, CHFSP, CHMM, CIH, or CSHM certifications desired
