Rapid Placement and Successful Onboarding Leads to Recognition for Outstanding Performance

Shirley Parsons and a large beverage conglomerate entered a recruiting agreement to identify a Senior Environmental Specialist. This was for the plant that manufactures all glass bottles for the company.

The Challenge

In 2020, the client gave a public commitment to meeting the needs of its customers while minimizing its impact on the environment. The plant was performing well from an EHS perspective. However, it was scaling faster than they were able to keep up with from a personnel standpoint. This is the largest glass manufacturing plant in the country, with all raw materials. Air permitting is intensive, and the candidate must understand the complexity of Title V regulations.

Our Approach

Upon engagement, we interviewed several managers and associates at the company. We made sure to understand the company culture, unique needs, and HR process to relay to our candidates. Our team screened 42 candidates, of which four were interviewed by the client. In the end, two were identified as eligible for hire.

The Result

We provided a candidate who landed the vacancy, was accepted and relocated to the client's site within three months of entering the recruiting agreement. We stayed close with all parties during the candidate's onboarding to ensure smooth onboarding. 9 months later, our candidate was given a "Best-In-Class Recognition" award from the client for the improvements they made in the Environmental department in a short time. Our candidate contributed to the Lean, Green, and Safe initiative and is an active contributor to the client's commitment.
