About Tayla

Tayla joined Shirley Parsons UK in 2013 when she was only 17, before relocating to Shirley Parsons North America in 2023.

Now based in the Boston branch, Tayla uses her extensive knowledge as a Recruitment Consultant in the EHS industry to help place candidates in permanent vacancies.

Tayla has years of experience specialising within the construction and utilities sectors and is now taking on the new challenge of becoming an expert across other areas such as manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and services.

Out of hours, Tayla enjoys indulging in Italian food, especially pasta, and catching up with friends over a movie or a few glasses of wine. She’s extremely passionate about people looking after themselves and always makes time for self-care.

Area Environmental Engineer

A global industrial manufacturing company is seeking an Area Environmental Engineer to help lead the Environmental program across the Greater Boston area.. This business invests heavily in its EHS programs and has developed a strong environmental culture in which both the CEO and President take active roles.  The successful candidate will be tasked with influencing a healthy environmental culture, requiring the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at various levels of the business.The Role: Influences Plant, Production, Operations, Maintenance and site management to drive the Environmental performance and results.Supports company interface with regulatory authorities for regulatory visits, requests and submissions for the region.Monitors changes to all environmental regulations pertaining to their area and reviews recommendations for incorporation into environmental management systems and standards in a timely manner.Accountable for managing site environmental documentation to include program design, environmental data collection and posting, training documentation, and environmental KPI reports.Participates as a leader for audits and assigns environmental resources to audits in their area.  The Candidate: 3+ years in environmental roles within heavy industrial settings.Strong HazWaste knowledgeGood Experience with Air and Water Permitting & regulations.Bachelor’s Degree in EHS, Environmental Science/Engineering or a related technical field.Experience dealing with regulatory agencies.Strong communicator.Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage others.

A large industrial manufacturing company is seeking an EHS Manager to lead the site EHS program at their Chicago Heights, IL area site.  The EHS Manager will hold a highly visible role within the organization and will be offered significant career growth opportunities at this multinational company.  The successful candidate will be tasked with influencing a healthy environmental & safety culture, requiring the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at various levels of the business.The Role: Manages and plans all safety training programs, suggests safety award programs and incentivesAdvises plant management of any potential law changes and their impact on the plantSupports company interface with regulatory authorities for regulatory visits, requests and submissions for the region.Participates as a leader for weekly inspections and audits in identifying safety hazards and oversees timely corrections of any violationDevelop and implement EHS policies and procedures The Candidate: 5+ years EHS experience in a heavy manufacturing environmentBachelor’s Degree in EHS or related field requiredExperience with EPA regulations, specifically pertaining to Air PermittingExperience with OSHA regulations, including LOTO, PPE, & Hot workExperience dealing with regulatory agencies and managing environmental regulations, specifically air permittingExcellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage others
