About Tayla

Tayla joined Shirley Parsons UK in 2013 when she was only 17, before relocating to Shirley Parsons North America in 2023.

Now based in the Boston branch, Tayla uses her extensive knowledge as a Recruitment Consultant in the EHS industry to help place candidates in permanent vacancies.

Tayla has years of experience specialising within the construction and utilities sectors and is now taking on the new challenge of becoming an expert across other areas such as manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and services.

Out of hours, Tayla enjoys indulging in Italian food, especially pasta, and catching up with friends over a movie or a few glasses of wine. She’s extremely passionate about people looking after themselves and always makes time for self-care.

Regional Safety Manager

This is a newly created position, where you will lead a small team and be responsible for the development and continuous improvement of the company’s safety culture and program. The Role: Promote a proactive safety culture at all levels of the organization, with heavy focus on employee engagement towards the safety programHighlight successes and focus areas to senior leadership, in order to continually develop the company safety program Lead a team of EHS professionals throughout the region Undertake job-site inspections, hazard observations, near miss investigations and audits across all operational projects as deemed necessaryIdentify, develop and deliver safety training in areas such as: safety regulation, hazardous conditions, use of tools and equipment etc. Ensure company continually remains compliant and informed of industry regulatory changes when it comes to bodies such as Cal/OSHA  The Candidate: 7-10 years safety leadership experience in an industrial construction environmentA proven leader, with strong communication skills who can engage with internal & external stakeholders alikeBachelors Degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering or other related discipline (preferred)Experience dealing with regulatory bodies e.g. Cal/OSHA Able to travel as the role requires (circa. 25%)

An international heavy manufacturing company is seeking an Environmental Manager to lead the Auburn, NY area site. This business invests heavily in its EHS programs and has developed a strong environmental culture in which both the CEO and all of Senior Leadership take active roles.  The successful candidate will be tasked with influencing a healthy environmental culture, requiring the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at various levels of the business.The Role: Influences Plant, Production, Operations, Maintenance and site management to drive the Environmental performance and results.Supports company interface with regulatory authorities for regulatory visits, requests and submissions for the region.Monitors changes to all environmental regulations pertaining to their area and reviews recommendations for incorporation into environmental management systems and standards in a timely manner.Accountable for managing site environmental documentation to include program design, environmental data collection and posting, training documentation, and environmental KPI reports.Participates as a leader for audits and assigns environmental resources to audits in their area.
